Multimedia Storytelling

When I think of Multimedia Storytelling, I usually think of photojournalism or the feature videos published online by various media outlets. They usually combine video and still images, or sometimes are just slideshows with an audio track.

For me, print usually can’t keep my attention for long (at least with newspapers), even if it’s an interesting feature. Telling stories with multimedia is so much more interesting. There is one I really like that I’ll try to find and post for tomorrow.

Until then, this story is a good example of a mix of video and still photography like we saw in class today. No “news anchor” voiceovers, just a woman telling her story.
