Something that I think is often overlooked when talking about multimedia is the audio aspect of it. We focus on the visuals so much that we forget that without good audio, the visuals don’t tell a cohesive story. If the audio mixing is unbalanced or too quiet then the whole piece is less successful then it would otherwise be. This is true for most film medias but when you have multiple things going on at once, like pictures and film, then it is even more important that the audio be clear.

This very popular little internet video needs the audio track to be successful. Even though many of the lines are written as well as said, it is just not the same without the audio. When making our own multimedia I think we should keep in mind that the audio is just as important as the video because it is what is telling the story.
