New York Times-Not going anywhere, well at least till 2015.

Everybody seems to be talking about the death of print.

The New York Times, however, as the most important print paper in the U.S. looks like it wont be going out of business until at least 2015, according to this article on Ad Age:

Personally, I feel as if print is always going to be around forever. People get sick of starring at their computers all the time and the tactile portability of a newspaper still makes them appealing to many. Maybe newspapers will have to shift their niche, away from current news that the internet is so much better at reporting, and to something of a higher quality. Obviously newspapers are going to have to do something differently if they want to survive in the long term. Im glad that the Times will still be around for awhile still, and I believe that it will be in a position to define what the newspaper will be in the coming years.

  1. I don’t think that print media will ever go away entirely either, but I agree that eventually it’s going to change and probably pretty dramatically in the type of content. I prefer the printed versions of publications about 95% of the time so I’m hoping it won’t falter much more than it already has…
